Whiskey Row
Client: Main Street Revitalization, LLC
McCall Group managed the emergency demolition and stabilization of seven historic structures in downtown Louisville. Whiskey Row was a project with many stakeholders, public funding, and intense media interest. The project consisted of the construction of a steel frame to salvage the historic facades of two of the seven buildings on the row, as well as selective demolition. The remaining five structures were stabilized in as much of their current form as possible for an adaptive reuse project.
The result?
The Whiskey Row facade is now fully intact. Three buildings are ready for future development, and two other facades have been saved.
